Iceland and The Food Warehouse donate 3,500 Easter eggs to Alder Hey

April 10, 2020

As a small token of gratitude to NHS workers, Iceland and The Food Warehouse have delivered 3,500 Easter eggs to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, to provide a much-deserved smile to staff providing life-saving care and support to those children who need it most every day.

Alder Hey is one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals. It provides care for over 330,000 children and young people every year, supporting children through routine illnesses as well as very complex and rare conditions.

Iceland Managing Director Richard Walker said: “Everyone at Iceland and The Food Warehouse is extremely grateful for the tireless work our fantastic NHS continue to deliver across the entire country.

“We have worked with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for many years and it’s a huge privilege for our business to be in a position where we can make donations such as this. The work being done by the staff at Alder Hey hospital to help fight the ongoing pandemic is nothing short of heroic and we wanted to say a small thank you to each and every one of them.”
