Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation donates £150k to Age UK

March 23, 2020

The Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF) has donated £150,000 to Age UK’s Emergency Coronavirus Appeal to support older people through the current health crisis. Last week, Iceland was the first UK supermarket to announce dedicated shopping hours for the elderly and the vulnerable, ensuring that the most vulnerable people in our communities can get access to the food that they need.

Age UK is seeking £10 million in donations to ensure it can continue to deliver its vital services. The donations will help support the charity’s national telephone friendship and advice line as well as frontline local Age UK support including food packages for older people.
