Retail conference

Every Store, Area and Regional Manager is invited to our Retail Conference. It’s a chance for our managers to get together, share best practice and give their input on the way Iceland operates.

Conference guests also enjoy an evening of fine dining and entertainment – a gesture of appreciation and celebration of their hard work throughout the year.

Iceland Service Awards

The monthly Iceland Service Awards recognise and reward our colleagues for delivering first-class customer service.

Each month, our Stores Director chooses a colleague-nominated winner and a customer-nominated winner to receive shopping vouchers and a special pin badge which is presented to them by their Regional Manager.

As part of their reward, all winners are invited to the award-winning Iceland Kitchen for lunch with our Board of Directors and an afternoon of decadence at a luxury hotel. They are also then treated to a celebratory dinner and presented with commemorative trophies.

Last year, the exemplary customer service stories included saving a child’s life after choking in store, rescuing a dog in torrential rain (which was captured on a viral Facebook video), and supporting customers with dementia.
