Talking Shop Reps

Each and every Iceland store has a colleague-nominated representative known as their Talking Shop Rep, or TSR for short. The role of the TSR is to listen to their colleagues, voice the opinions of their teams and share important business news as they hear it. TSRs challenge the business and drive improvements, influencing positive change and adding greater value by being involved in all things Iceland.

At Iceland we fundamentally believe that every colleague has the right to have their voice heard, and we believe the best people to represent our colleagues are our colleagues.

National Talking Shop Conference

Once a year, around 70 TSRs from across the country are invited to our National Talking Shop Conference – an exciting event in which TSRs are expected (and delighted!) to share the views of their colleagues directly with Iceland’s Board of Directors. The conference is a great way to celebrate Talking Shop’s valuable contribution to increasing colleague engagement and retention in stores.

In our Head Office, we replicate this approach; our Deeside Voice Reps are lively and persuasive and make sure that the voice and views of our Head Office colleagues are also heard by the business.
